Out with the Old . . .

It was TIME! These brassy Hollywood light strips that were over our bathroom sinks screamed "1980s," even though our house was built in the '90s. The contractor must have gotten them on sale because they were going out of style. Anyway, we took them down today, from both bathrooms, and put up these new brushed nickel fixtures.

Before anyone comments, TWO things I know:

1. The wallpaper border at the top of the wall is from that same 1980s era. But we're taking baby-steps here. Light fixtures today, wallpaper border sometime soon.

2. Style is ephemeral. In fifteen years we (or someone else who might be living in this house) will be taking these brushed nickel light fixtures down and making fun of them, because they are "so yesterday!"

I think they look great and wouldn´t even have noticed the wallpaper border, if you hadn´t mentioned it. :)
